Research laboratory for nanomaterials and advanced polymeric materials of industrial importance Laboratory POLMATIN
Centre of Competence for Advanced Polymeric Materials of Industrial Importance POLMATIN established in the structure of Industrial Chemistry Research Institute is realizing the project:
"Creation and equipment of research laboratory for nanomaterials and advanced polymeric materials of industrial importance - Laboratory POLMATIN".
This project is co-financed by European Union from the European Fund of Regional Development (EFRD) in the frame of Sectorial Operation Program - Improvement of the competitiveness of enterprises (SPO-WKP) Action 1.4: Strengthening of economic cooperation between R&D sector and enterprises. Detailed information concerning EFRD and SPO-WKP are available at the following websites:

The thematic scope of the project is in line with research program of the Centre POLMATIN recognized by Ministry of Science and Informatization as Centre of Excellence according to State Committee for Scientific Research the Statement No. 47/2004 (16.09.2004).
The main aims of the project are as follows:
- the development of the research potential of Centre POLMATIN and ICRI,
- quality improvement of the products offered by enterprises cooperating with ICRI,
- increase of competiveness of enterprises from the chemistry and polymeric materials sectors,
- the development of technologies of ecologically friendly polymeric materials,
- the development of mechatronics ( manufacturing of new materials focused on the construction needs of micro-electronic, -mechanic and -electromechanic devices)
- the development of medicine (new pharmaceutics and their dosing methods),
- acquisition of additional economic effects resulting from the commercialization of advanced polymeric materials technologies,
- creation of new work places especially for women.
The modern laboratory established as the result of this project will be performing laboratory and research services for industry including SMEs active in the chemistry and advanced polymeric materials sectors as well as for ICRI research teams working on innovative technologies of polymeric materials.
The establishment of modern Laboratory POLMATIN will add the important value to the effective realization of long-term research program of Centre POLMATIN covering polymeric nanomaterials as well as ecologically friendly materials.
